Our journey started back in 2012 when Rick left PwC to acquire a small accounting practice from a sole proprietor. Over the course of the next two years, he undertook a significant review of the client base to identify tax planning and structuring opportunities by introducing tax specialty services. During this time, Rick also upgraded the firm’s technology, internal systems and implemented best practices which was received well by clients as demonstrated by significant growth of the firm.
In 2014, Adam left Deloitte to start his own consulting and business valuations practice, and like Rick, grew his business rapidly. After working with Rick on several joint engagements, they realized their unique yet complementary skills would be better utilized as a team rather than as independent practitioners. In late 2014, they merged their practices to form Grewal Guyatt LLP.
Since forming Grewal Guyatt LLP, the firm has continued its growth trajectory and has evolved into a boutique firm offering specialized services typically only provided by larger firms. As a registered training office with CPA Ontario, our team consists of only the best and brightest talent. Partnered by Rick and Adam, firm leadership is dedicated to providing the highest level of service to all clients.
